Circles of Light

My paintings depict what I call "circles of light," hand-drawn freehand. Their endless dance forms an almost hypnotic pattern, designed to be a breach, a portal that opens up an alternate space inhabited by a memory, an emotion, or a latent thought.
This is why I place my paintings halfway between reality and imagination, in that space between wakefulness and dream, accessible only by temporarily abandoning logical, rational thinking.
My aim is to evoke that enchantment, that sense of wonder we feel when we observe the glittering surface of the sea, the dust particles floating in a sunbeam, or the light filtering through a crack. By layering these circles, I create harmonies of light, color, and contrast, in which the viewer can lose themselves and ultimately reach a lunar elsewhere.
The technique I use to create my paintings requires a great deal of time, and so the circles of light and their luminous trails become an irresistible invitation to distance myself from daily concerns, to let go of logical frameworks and preconceptions, and to reflect on new meanings.

Flaminia Staderini: A Spiritual and Philosophical Journey Through Art.
(by Loredana Triestin)

Art, in all its forms, is a way for artists to explore the essence of humanity and the depths of the universe. Flaminia Staderini is a painter who embarks on this journey in a unique way, approaching the frontiers of quantum physics with a precise and detailed painting technique. Her works reflect a deep spiritual and philosophical reflection, blending thought and color in a way that transcends the mere canvas.

At the heart of her work are "circles of light," each one unique and captivating. These impeccably drawn white circles appear to be portals to an alternate reality. Each circle, in turn, leaves a trail of similar circles that intertwine and overlap, creating a cosmic dance of connections and interactions. This intricate pattern recalls the world of quantum physics, where reality is multiple and interconnected, and where light can be both a wave and a particle. In this way, Flaminia challenges our perception of reality, guiding us toward a deeper understanding of the complexity of the universe.

However, it is the color surrounding these circles that gives life to a new dimension. In her works, blue emerges as the predominant color, with all its shades and depths. Often associated with the sky and the sea, blue becomes a symbol of infinity and mystery. The nuances and chromatic texture create a three-dimensional effect that draws the viewer in, transporting them to a different, almost hypnotic dimension. Through color, we are invited to explore the concept of infinity and reflect on the nature of human experience. Each white circle in Flaminia Staderini's work is a potential gateway to a new and unknown world, representing the possibility of exploring different realities and challenging our preconceived notions.

These circles, seemingly in motion through the ether, can be compared to small particles of dust dancing in sunlight, evoking a sense of wonder and mystery. The technique used in these works requires time and dedication, but the final result is undeniably stunning. They are creations that invite reflection on the complexity of life, our connection to the universe, and the elusive nature of reality. Through her art, Staderini offers us the chance to journey into unknown worlds and explore the depths of the human soul.

Quantum physicist David Bohm once stated that, in the deepest reality, all objects are interconnected, immersed in an ocean of invisible and mysterious energy. The separation between things is merely an illusion of human perception. Bohm’s words resonate powerfully when exploring Flaminia Staderini’s works. Through her painting, the artist seems to capture the very essence of this universal connection. The circles of light represent, in some way, the very fabric of the quantum reality Bohm spoke of. They are the points of convergence between matter and energy, light and darkness, perception and illusion. Bohm’s vision of reality as an interconnected set of phenomena becomes fascinating when applied to Staderini’s art. The circles of light, with their intertwining and overlapping traces, evoke the idea of an intricate web of relationships that define our world. These works challenge us to look beyond the surface of things and reflect on the deep interconnection that permeates life itself.

In quantum physics, the idea that everything is connected is fundamental. Quantum particles can influence each other even across vast distances, defying our traditional understanding of space and time. Similarly, the works of this artist invite us to consider that, while they may seem like simple paintings on canvas, they can open doors to a broader reality, where connections are countless and surprising. In this dialogue between Flaminia’s art and Bohm’s quantum vision, profound questions emerge about the nature of reality and our place within it.

These creations become a kind of bridge between the artistic and scientific worlds, inviting us to contemplate the mystery and beauty of the invisible connections that permeate the universe.
